Story
Balaram (Venkatesh), a landlord in Bheemarajapuram village is a kind hearted person and helps the villagers when needed. Here comes Rahman (Ram) along with his sister Sania (Anjali) after losing their ancestral property legally and in order to seek help of Balaram, Rahman joins as a trustyworthy person without disclosing his identity.

Rahman hides himself by acting as a gay while he caught by Balaram. Here turns the whole film much entertaining where Ram changes his roles to Ram and a gay Rahman. What happens when Balaram finds the truth is rest of the story...

Performances

Venkatesh is show puller with his butler English comedy and oneliners in English entertainer much. He suited for the role aptly. Venky once again proved his comedy timing.

Ram should be applauded for his effortless performance in dual roles and his expression in gay role are good at times.

Anjali and Shazahn Padamsee are restricted to their limited roles and performed well.

Jaya Prakash Reddy, MS Narayana and Ali are just spontaneously hilarious. Others are just good.

Technical Analysis

Cinematography is just ok. Thaman background score are bit loud and only couple of songs are good on screen. Dialogues by Anil Ravipudi are entertaining. Vijaya Bhaskar's direction just gets pass marks.

Analysis

Masala opens its taste with full to full entertaining elements like Kovai Sarala's dance moves for item song and then moves to Venkatesh's respect to the English language. First half goes at a pace even it hasn't has a tightened story line. Action scenes look pale with no perfection.

Coming to Second half the film totally goes with the high dosage of entertainment and some emotional content picked up to be a family entertainer. Climax is predictable. Dialogues with on set comedy timing is a big plus in the film even the narration is dull.

If you watched Hindi film Bol Bachchan one can observe the carbon copy of it in Masala..
